I've fallen in love with this European "school-girl" look. I'm pretty certain it was after I watched Martin Scorcese's magical movie, Hugo, that I realized I can wear long jackets in a more informal way; with jeans and a t-shirt, for instance. The character Isabelle, played by Chloe Grace Moretz, wears this look all too well. Soon after, without realizing it, I found myself picking out my long black jacket to run a quick errand or to go to work and feeling just as comfortable and cool. I later decided the leather back pack would become my new purse/hand bag. Not only is it stylish, it's also very practical. I carry my life (just in case) with me everywhere I go so I needed a roomy, day-to-day bag. This one works perfectly!
(love buttoning my shirts all the way and wearing a necklace over top!)
Long jackets are no longer limited to being paired with dresses and business suits, my friends! Dust yours off and throw it on over your most casual get-up and run your errands just the way a cavalier European gal would! It's what I like to call Easy style.
