I woke up one day and decided I needed a hobby. Phoned a friend and she thought up this ridiculous idea to create a fashion blog. I’ll never be bored again.

Dear Santa...

As we get older, we begin to realize Mama wasn't kissing Santa Clause! And although it's quite a relief to know your dearest mother is still as saintly as you had hoped, it dawns on you: All of the holiday hooplah is all one big...fat...lie! What can I say? Life's tough. But...we get used to it; you know, not writing to the big guy for lavish gifts. We learn that it's better to give than receive, and that sometimes there are more important things to consider, liiiiike...the recession. Yet, sometimes I find myself writing that 'obligatory' list even at my age...just for fun (out of habit?!). I make my own list and check it twice. If you're still receiving gifts it can't hurt. In fact, I find that it makes it easier for your family & friends. They know exactly what you're into for the year...ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU purposely POST THE LIST SMACK-DAB ON YOUR VERY OWN BLOG! (cough-cough)

(1).Prada's 1950's car-print collection is one of my favorites! Thanks to PRADA, Spring 2012 trends look promising! (2).DANNIJO Jewelry designers and sisters, Danielle and Jodie Snyder create hand-made jewelry using a mix of different metals. My fave right now is definitely the Cloe necklace. It's the perfect statement piece! (3). YSL went outside the box, during a fashion show, with these segmented gold hoops, "which encased each knot and resembled the biggest door-knocker earrings I’ve ever seen." - Couldn't agree more!! Beautiful new hair accessory! (4).Givenchy L’Or Céleste Starry Loose Powder - Adds just the right amount sparkle to just about any part of your body. (5). LanvinAlber Elbaz has created a new sunglasses collection with De Rigo that is scheduled to hit the counter—in Paris at least—in time for New Year’s Eve.(6). Miniature nail polishes from Le Métier de Beauté—luxe jewel-tone metallics. Holiday perfection! (7). Isabel Marant sneakers. They're a hit in NYC and Paris right now! (8). Dannijo Amara earrings! Yum!! (9).Karl Lagerfeld scarf - Let me put it this way, I would never put anyone else's face on my scarf/clothing!

Just wishful thinking! ;)
I hope everyone has a healthy, safe and fashionable holiday!!!

Boston Fashion Week...{belated Wrap Up!}

Pic: Dominic Casserly - www.Domathon.com
So, we made it to Boston Fashion Week and just like I promised I've posted all about it (better late than never)! Oh, and look at that, we got our picture taken by...press cameras PAPARAZZI just as I imagined we would!

FASHION WEEK ATTIRE:

I mixed n matched some of my fave pieces and accessories - keeping comfort in mind. Check!

You've seen this before, I know. I wear it out as much as I can plus it's big enough for a camera, wallet, and some just-in-case makeup. My shoes are from RESCUE...woo-hoo! I wore them through the summer season and now I add a good pair of tights and I'm good to go!

My sis Hena and her cute polka-dot phone and flashy nails!

My sis Hena's cute bag!!!
Hey, what can I say?! We have similar taste! Great color, eh?

My sis Hena's cutest pair of shoes!!!
My only regret in life is that my sister and I cannot share/borrow heels ***Grrrrrr!! Her feet are tiny.
Can you believe this was a consignment store purchase? You'd be surprised what you find.

FRONT ROW ACTION:
Preferred Seating
We scored some great seats for my second night at the tent...unfortunately, my sis couldn't make it!!! Luckily, I snapped this photo so I could show her exactly what she missed out on! It was nothing really, just PERFECT SEATING!!!

Fancy Front Row if I should say so myself.   Pic: Stuff@Night
I was lucky enough to be seated just an arms length away from Marilyn Reisman - former fashion retailer and buyer. She has also produced fashion shows in the city's most elite hotels. She's considered a fashion icon. Doesn't it feel good to know there are DARING Bostonians out there? Oh, and don't mind me. I'm just busy texting during the show (too cool I tell ya!)!!!!

VICTORIA DOMINGUEZ SHOW
Was I the only one snapping pics during the show?! I haven't read the fashion show etiquette handbook...??

MIKE & TON SHOW    Pic: Stuff@Night

BACK ROW ACTION:
Mingling after the Daniela Corte Finale Show
For the finale show, my sis and I were seated allllllllllllll the way in the back,....in the corner,.....near a speaker. lol  Who am I kidding?? It wasn't that bad. Count for yourself (just six rows back). Let's just say, we were humbled. **cough cough**

The view from the 6th row - not bad!
Daniela was greeted with a thunderous applause. Her show was impressive (to say the least).

Umm, I want one of those!!!

Front row, back row - WHO CARES, right? This pic in front of THIS backdrop is what really matters! Doesn't get any more legit than this! Ha!

We had an awesome time! Can't wait for more B.F.W. fun next year!
Happy Thursday. xo
